Opening in 2006 as a “we do it all” real estate firm, admittedly novice founders Nathan & Erin Hitchcock learned lots of difficult lessons about running a business. Most important were 1) in the end, customer satisfaction is the only thing that matters, and 2) without focus, chaos will inevitably ensue.
So in 2014 the company was rebuilt from the ground up, focused exclusively on providing ridiculously good residential property management services. The unwritten mission statement of “do whatever real estate related stuff we can to make as much money as possible” was replaced with:
“To help great people realize the joy of leasing a home they love while providing the most phenomenal service experience ever.”
To underscore the importance of this “customer first” mission to every staff member, it is recited aloud as a pledge of allegiance at the beginning of each Monday staff meeting. We constantly re-think and re-invent our systems and policies to ensure we’re meeting our mission, values and management philosophy. The result is a team of dedicated professionals who don’t rest until the customer is 110% satisfied.
